In China, on 21 March 2022, a Boeing 737-89P aircraft which was a passenger domestic flight, was travelling from Kunming to Guangzhou. The plane was operated by China Eastern Airlines. The plane lost control mid-air and fell steeply with very high speed on the ground in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The accident resulted in the death of 132 people and all crew members on board.
